¡Juego del año 2020 de EarlyGame!

Bueno, 2020 ha sido un año interesante, ¿no? Hemos pasado de la tragedia al triunfo, y una cosa es segura: ¡los juegos han sido de gran ayuda! Este es un año especial para EarlyGame, ya que es nuestro primer año en el que orgullosamente te traemos nuestro contenido y noticias todos los días. La COVID-19 ha sido un verdadero problema para muchas personas este año, y estamos ansiosos por dar el salto al próximo año con muchos más juegos y humor.

A pesar de todo, 2020 ha sido un año fantástico en el mundo de los videojuegos y nos pusimos en contacto con todos vosotros para contaros cuáles son los juegos que más os han gustado. Por eso, para cerrar 2020 a lo grande, tenemos un último regalo: ¡ aquí tenéis los Juegos del Año de EarlyGame!

10. Cyberpunk 2077

Sabemos que debe parecer un poco extraño ver un juego tan esperado y ampliamente elogiado tan abajo en la lista de este año. La cuestión es que DEBERÍA haber sido el número 1. El juego terminó siendo increíble, con una misión principal profunda y satisfactoria, con personajes fascinantes y algunas de las mejores misiones secundarias (si no las mejores) en los juegos de mundo abierto modernos . Los gráficos eran impresionantes en PC y la nueva generación, y nos encantó el juego a pesar de los problemas que enfrentamos y las fallas constantes. Realmente es una pena que el juego se lanzara en el estado en que lo hizo, por lo que estamos felices de dejar esa pequeña pizca de tristeza al final de la lista. Dicho esto, Keanu Reeves es realmente ” impresionante ” en Cyberpunk 2077 (¡sí, llegamos allí!) …

9. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed ha tenido sus altibajos. ¿Pero el lanzamiento de este año? Bueno, está en esta lista, ¿no? Seguimos deseando volver a las ondulantes colinas de la Inglaterra de la era vikinga, saqueando y pillando para pasar de la pobreza a la riqueza. ¡Qué experiencia tan fantástica fue Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla y estamos ansiosos por ver qué hará Ubisoft con la serie a continuación! Desde Assassin’s Creed: Origins, han estado en una racha de asesinatos y Valhalla está a la altura de los grandes como AC2 y Odyssey. ¿Qué será lo próximo? ¡Tendremos que esperar y verlo!

8. Call of Duty: Warzone

Ah, Warzone. Qué gran año y medio ha tenido Call of Duty. Primero, el sublime remake de Modern Warfare en 2019, luego el lanzamiento de Warzone en marzo y ahora Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War . Este último puede haber sido tan largo y enrevesado como su nombre, pero Call of Duty: Warzone se llevó el boleto. La gran extensión de Verdansk fue posiblemente el mejor mapa de Battle Royale que habíamos visto , o hemos visto desde entonces, y estaba lleno de misterios, grandes lugares y algunos grandes cambios estacionales que han sacudido el campo de juego de maneras interesantes. ¡ Este es sin duda nuestro Juego Battle Royale del año!

7. Remake de Demon’s Souls

¿Es esto hacer trampa? Bueno, si lo es, entonces no nos importa. Demon’s Souls fue uno de los juegos más influyentes de la última década, que dio origen a la serie Souls y a todo un género de juegos. Por eso, con gran felicidad, lo iniciamos en nuestras flamantes PlayStation 5 y nos lanzamos una vez más a este juego de demonios mortales. En resumen, no nos decepcionó en lo más mínimo, ¡puedes apostar las bragas de tu madre a que sí! Tan jodidamente fantástico como cuando se lanzó por primera vez en PlayStation 3 (¡hace DOS malditas consolas!), tan brutal, tan desafiante, tan inquietantemente hermoso e tan intenso. Si nunca has jugado al clásico: ¡ahora es el momento!

6. Hades

Entendemos que los Rogue-Lites quizás no sean del agrado de todos, pero escúchanos. Hades es uno de los juegos más fascinantes y creativos del género, y tomó por asalto nuestros mundos a principios de 2020. Es satisfactorio y atractivo, y nunca deja de hacerte querer jugar más, y más, y más, y más. Esa es la señal de un gran juego, esa es la señal de una experiencia infinitamente rejugable, profunda y gratificante. La acción basada en tics se complementa con una historia progresiva que agrega mucho a la ya rica experiencia. Si aún no has jugado Hades, debes hacerlo. Ahora.

5. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

Bueno, tenemos que decir que no lo esperábamos. ¡Y vaya si fue duro! Dios mío, qué sorpresa. ¡Caramba! ¡Es genial! Si no has visto el fantástico podcast de Gary Whitta sobre Fall Guys, Talk Guys, será mejor que lo hagas (es genial). De todos modos, ¡Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout también es bueno! El Battle Royale más dulce y, sin duda, el más divertido del mercado actual, los desafíos de Fall Guys son infinitamente divertidos, encantadores y desafiantes. ¡ Estamos ansiosos por ver a dónde lo llevan a continuación y esperamos jugar más de este fantástico juego!

4. El último de nosotros: Parte 2

It says a lot about the games of 2020 that we finally got The Last of Us: Part 2, it blew us away, and its STILL only number four on this list! Well, now that is a year we could get behind (if it wasn’t for, you know, that global pandemic)! So many exclamation marks, and it still doesn’t express how fantastic The Last of Us: Part 2 was. We have to give credit to everyone involved in telling us one of the most emotional, engaging, and fascinating stories in gaming. Not only that, but the mood, gameplay, graphics, music, performances, and basically EVERYTHING was great in this game. We were so happy to continue Ellie’s story, and to return to such a rich and fascinating world.

3. Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima came from the same guys who gave us Infamous. Now, Infamous was great…but where the bloody hell did this come from? This game was very highly anticipated, and we all thought it would have incredible combat and graphics. What we got, though, was one of the most fleshed out open worlds ever, an incredible historical tale, and a deep and complicated upgrade system. We are not ashamed to say that we spend many hours in Ghost of Tsushima, and would do so all over again if we had the time! It absolutely blew us away and deserves every little bit of praise that it could ever possibly get! Jump in for the incredible combat, and the stunning open world, stay for the heart and soul.

2. Among Us (Mobile)

We know that Among Us came out in 2018, but the mobile version of the game came out in 2020 and… to be honest, with its meteoric rise, it may as well have come out in 2020! An incredible concept, to create a space murder mystery in a multiplayer game. It deserves every little bit of praise it gets, and was developed by an unbelievably small and talented team of Indie developers. We want to extend our congratulations to all involved in the games development and suggest the following to anyone who has not played the game yet: a lot of us are in lockdown right now, and THIS is the perfect way to spend time with loved ones! Long live Among Us!

EarlyGame’s Game of the Year 2020 – Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

It’s almost with a tear in our eye that we reach this point. It seems fitting that in a year of lockdowns, a changed world, and the loss of many loved ones, that our Game of the Year is one that brought us all together. Everyone knew that Animal Crossing: New Horizons would be great when it dropped in March, but no one would have imagined the effect it was to have. Apart but together, we sat, building our way through the pandemic with friends and family by our side – all through this wonderful game. Bright and cheerful, beautiful and sweet, Nintendo brought us together in a way that transcended everything around us.

For that, we thank them. We also thank you, the readers, for sticking with EarlyGame in our first year. We raise a glass to you, we sing Auld Lang Syne, and we wish you the happiest of New Years. Cheers!
